SPIRITUAL ABUSE TRAINING
Spiritual Abuse is not a separate category of abuse but is a form of psychological and emotional abuse within a religious context. Section 4.2 of the Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable adults guidance (available on the safeguarding e-manual below) outlines the requirements for church officers. The national safeguarding team run Spiritual Abuse and Healthy Cultures Workshops which are available to all Church Officers.
