How can I Cut Carbon?

As a diocese we are committed to working towards Carbon Net Zero 2030. But this isn’t something that’s done ‘to’ us, this is something that each one of us can work toward.

Turning the thermostats down in our homes and work places, or wearing an extra layer or jumper can drastically reduce the amount of Co2 we emit into the atmosphere. Increasing the level of our household insulation also saves energy, money and reduces Co2 emissions. Ensuring our household energy supplier uses green-renewable energy is another great step. If possible, we might even look at renewable heat sources and energy source like air source heat pumps and solar PV.

As a church completing the Energy Footprint Tool (EFT) is an essential way of benchmarking the Co2 usage so that we can plan for, and enable a reduction in our Church Co2 emissions.
