Funerals

One of life’s most difficult times is the loss of a loved one.
We are here to help.

A Church of England funeral is available to everyone. We recognise that each person is unique so we make sure our funerals give thanks for the person you knew and loved in a way that gives comfort and hope.

When someone dies there can be a lot to think about and organise. We understand how difficult this can be and our churches are here to offer help and support long after the funeral.

Where do I start?

Usually the undertaker will contact the church or the vicar and make the arrangements for you. It is important that they do this before fixing the date and time of the service. You have the option to have your loved one either buried or cremated and the undertaker will help you with that decision.

Please don’t hesitate to contact your church if you would like to talk to the vicar.
