The Archbishop of Canterbury has encouraged churches to look at ways of supporting Credit Unions as one way of helping those who are facing money issues as a result of the Austerity measures.

The Kernow Credit Union (KCU) is seeking to expand its operation across Cornwall and needs service points and volunteers to do this.

There will be two information events for local churches to find out how to become involved in this work and which will also offer the first part of the training required for potential volunteers.

These take place on Saturday, September 26 from 10am to 1pm and Thursday, October 1 from 6 to 9 pm.
