Fairtrade

Fairtrade is a simple way to make a difference to the lives of the people who grow the things we love to eat.

Fairtrade changes the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions and a fair deal for farmers and workers in developing countries.  Look out for the 4500 products with the Fairtrade mark and change the world by shopping justly.

Many Cornish churches have Fairtrade status. Will you join them? Simply ask your PCC to commit to the following and download the application form from the Fairtrade Foundation.

  • using Fairtrade tea and coffee for all meetings for which you have responsibility and after services
  • moving forward on using other Fairtrade products (such as sugar, biscuits and fruit)
  • promoting Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight and during the year through events, worship and other activities whenever possible

The Fairtrade Foundation will issue a certificate on receipt of your application.
