Diocesan Registrar

The Registry advises both the clergy and laity, and deals with various matters concerning the Diocese and the Church of England.
· advising on marriage in the Diocese of Truro, including granting common marriage licences
· advising on matters concerning baptism, confirmation and burial
· providing advice on and dealing with the faculty process
· issuing documents to clergy and lay workers appointing them to positions within the Diocese
· advising church officers on matters concerning their office
· acting as Registrar to the Diocesan Synod and legal adviser to the Bishop of Truro
· maintaining Diocesan records, including the patronage register.
