Easter Explorers
Easter Explorers workshops are designed for children in for upper key stage 2 (Years 5 and 6) and address the following questions from the Cornwall RE Syllabus (2025):
· Why do Christians call the day Jesus died “Good Friday”? (L2.5)
· Why do Christians believe that Jesus was the Messiah? (U2.3)
· What do Christians believe Jesus did to save people? (U2.5)
· For Christians, what kind of king was Jesus? (U2.6)
The children share and discuss the Easter story and take part in activities to help them reflect on the story. The activities can be creative or prayer based/reflective to suit the school you are working with.
Some activities cover objectives on the National Curriculum for Art and Design.
The workshops last roughly two hours and accommodate thirty children (more if your class is larger).
The workshops are completely free.
