On Saturday 16th July 2016, Truro Cathedral is to host a Service to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the formation of the St.Petroc’s Society.
Formed in 1986 at the instigation of the then Bishop of St.Germans ( Bishop Llewellin), who responded to the increased numbers of single homeless across Cornwall by creating a charity that would engage and work with all those, who had no place to call home.
St.Petroc’s has retained it’s close links with churches of all denominations with the current Bishop of St.Germans ( Bishop Chris Goldsmith) who is the Society President and the Bishop of Plymouth ( Bishop Mark O’Toole) and President of the Methodist Conference (Rev. Steven Wild) are vice Presidents.
Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our diocese life.
