From sea shanties to superyachts, students and sailors, Falmouth is a truly unique and special place. It requires a truly unique and special Rector.

Falmouth Benefice is a significant and strategic place within the Diocese of Truro, covering a diverse, lively, young and populous part of Cornwall.
Such a place requires someone of compassion and faithfulness who is skilled in enabling the gifts and callings of others to be expressed such that all the people of God are growing as disciples, someone who will further equip the lay and ordained leaders and the people in the parishes to work together as a team to the glory of God.

While varied in context and tradition, the churches of the benefice have shared priorities and are excited for the future together.

  • Are you experienced in leading teams, able to help people to discover new gifts and achieve new goals?
  • Are you a dynamic, visionary, versatile leader who obviously loves Jesus?
  • Can you connect with people across all age groups, worship styles and social demographics?

The benefice believes that God is preparing an inspirational leader to help them step into a new season of flourishing.

Might it be you?

Candidates with a strong strategic gifting are also invited to consider the role of Strategic Rural Dean, enabling the flourishing of the wider deanery.
