The people of Pelynt came out in force to give thanks for the tractor and its important role in agriculture at a service held in the village.

Over 60 people packed the village hall car park along with six tractors for the service, which was led by Revd Richard Allen. Revd Richard preached on the feeding of the 5,000 and the importance of sharing and how the tractor contributes to our plenty.

Members of the Young Farmers helped children and adults alike get up close and personal with the vehicles to learn more about how they worked and what it was like to sit in a tractor cab.

Revd Richard said: “It has been a great way of connecting with our local farming community.”

The service proved so successful that a second one, this time in Lanreath, is planned for October 10 at 4pm. Everyone is welcome.
