Safeguarding Audit 2024

The latest audit of the safeguarding in the Diocese of Truro took place in 2024 and was undertaken by INEQE.  INEQE have developed a strong reputation for conducting high quality and complex safeguarding reviews and audits with the primary aim of helping organisations reflect, learn, and improve, so they are better able to address the specific safeguarding risks they face.

This process saw the Diocesan Safeguarding Team uploading a wide range of documents and evidence in January 2024, alongside clergy, staff, volunteers, worshippers and young people being asked to complete surveys of their views. In April 2024 INEQE visited the Diocese and Cathedral to conduct the face-to-face part of the audit, meeting with a range of staff, clergy and volunteers. The report (available below) provides feedback to the diocese and cathedral with a series of recommendations which will be prioritised and implemented over the coming months and years.
