Working with us
It’s a great time to join us and help us achieve our plans. We have challenges, but also very real opportunities to maximise both our reach and the impact of our work through exciting new projects such as Growing Younger, and our environmental strategy and social action work.
Our employees are professional, positive, caring and people-focused individuals. Our role is to support our parishes, clergy, and dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to their churches and communities. You don’t always need to be a practising Christian to work here – that’s only a requirement for some of our jobs – but we do all believe in our aims and objectives and have respect for the Christian faith and those who practise it.
While you will want to work with us because you want to be part of an organisation doing great work, we know that the practical stuff matters. Our core values – treating everyone with compassion and respect; recognising diversity and embracing different strengths and abilities; being open and accountable; and sharing knowledge and working co-operatively – inform our organisation culture, and staff terms and conditions, so here are some things you might like to know.

As a Disability Confident committed employer, we will interview all disabled job or clergy applicants who meet the minimum criteria essential criteria.
Subject to the demands of the role, we offer flexible working arrangements and hours, including home working.
OUR LOCATION

The Old Cathedral School, Truro
Our offices are next to Truro Cathedral in Truro, a picturesque city in the heart of beautiful Cornwall. Truro links to the River Fal and is just a short drive from both north and south coasts, making it ideally placed for water sports, walking, experiencing the rich Cornish cultural, archaeological and industrial heritage, and enjoying a unique lifestyle.
The offices are in an attractive, recently updated historic building helpfully located very close to a range of nearby shops and cafes.
For most roles, we are able to offer hybrid working arrangements, supporting staff in remote/home working with the offices available for those who need or prefer to work in the office. All staff are however expected to attend some meetings in person, e.g. team meetings, staff meetings, and 1-2-1s, on a regular basis as agreed with their line manager and/or as the role requires.
