Summer Concert – Helston Chamber Choir

A summer’s evening event in the magnificent acoustics of St Michael’s Church.
Helston Chamber Choir are joined by the award winning male voice group, Eight in a Bar, and their conductor, Ruth Best, for this evening of beautiful contemporary English and American choral classics.
Soloists, Kate Banfield Rickard and Mark Hounsell, will be singing some pieces as well as a small ensemble of musicians.
Pearsall Lay a Garland, Tippett Steal away, Nobody Knows, Go Down, Moses – Spirituals from “A Child in Our Time” , Barber Sure on this Shining Night, Lauridsen O Magnum Mysterium, Gjeilo Ubi Caritas, Ešenvalds Stars, Only in Sleep with soloist Kate Banfield Rickard, Whitacre Seal Lullaby, Whitbourn Alleluia Jubilate and Flanders and Horovitz Captain Noah and His Floating Ark with Mark Hounsell.
