There are estimated to be over 122,000 victims of modern slavery in the UK today. Anti-Slavery Day provides an opportunity for churches, businesses, charities, and individuals to raise awareness of and consider afresh what they can do to eliminate modern slavery in their communities.
The Clewer Initiative are running an online lunch and learn training session to mark Anti-Slavery Day. The session will take place via zoom on 18th October 13:00-14:00.
You can sign up to attend via Eventbrite here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/730351028587?aff=oddtdtcreator
The training will provide an opportunity to learn more about modern slavery, how to spot the signs and some of the resources available to raise awareness of the issue in your local church and community.
Ensuring that children and young people as well as adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our diocese life.
