The first of two online workshops support us all as we seek to address racial injustice and asks; “Why does it matter to us here in Cornwall and what can we do?”
The workshops are designed for all members of staff, school leaders and governors and anyone wishing to know more about how we can address racism today.
The first session will include a presentation from Emily Norman (CEFEL) asking ‘Why do we need to include antiracism in our schools?’ Professor Paul Miller (Educational Equity Services) will explore the questions ‘Why do we need to do this, why in Cornwall and why now?‘
During the second session Aleisha Lewis will look into ‘Why should anti-racism be included in the curriculum‘ and Domini Leong (BAMEED SW) will lead a session on ‘Where to make a start‘
These free seminars will be online via Zoom – 4 to 7 pm
