Service of Commissioning for those who support church schools
The annual Service of Commissioning for those who work in church schools across the diocese was held this weekend.
Lead by the Bishop of St Germans, the Rt Revd Hugh Nelson, the service also saw Lee Moscato commissioned as the Interim Director of Education for the diocese.
The Diocese of Truro works with 43 Church of England schools along with 12 Multi-Academy Trusts. The diocesan education vision is to be a significant partner for raising standards in schools throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, to the benefit of all the children in the Diocese of Truro.
As well as Lee, the diocesan education team, headteachers, school staff, school governors, trustees, chairs, and CEOs were also commissioned.
Lee Moscate, Interim Director of Education at diocese, said: “The Service of Commissioning is a special opportunity to give thanks to those in and around our schools who support them, and our diocese, in our work. Essentially, it’s about shining a light on all of those that day in, day out, make a difference to so many in schools.”
