Seven to be licensed at Annual Reader Service
There will be seven people licensed as Readers at this year’s Annual Reader Service which will be held in Truro Cathedral on October 14.
Existing Readers play a key part of the service and this year is no exception. Margaret DuPlessy, who serves in the Parish of Redruth, will be the Assisting Minister and David Watson, who serves as a Reader in the Eight Saints Cluster will be preaching. Lessons will be read by William Hazelton who serves in the Bodmin Team Ministry and Molly Brown who serves in the Benefice of Camborne, Tuckingmill and Penponds. Reader Jane Osborne (Parish of Roche) and Reader Elizabeth Davies (Parish of St Clement) will be taking the Litany.

Nicola Sandra Nina Batley to serve in the Benefice is St Keverne, St Ruan with St Grade and LandewednackJane Elizabeth Darlington to serve in St Stithians with Perran-ar-Worthal and Gwennap Chacewater with St Day and Carharrack, Devoran, Feock.
Rebecca Greenough to serve in the Benefice is St Keverne, St Ruan with St Grade and Landewednack
Sally Ann Piper to serve in Benefice of Crowan and Treslothan.
Sheridan Jane Sturgess to serve in the Benefice of Liskeard and St Keyne
Robert Jeffrey Terry to serve in Boscastle and Tintagel Group of Churches
Keith Roger Duncan Waters to serve in the Penlee Cluster
Jim Seth, Chaplain to Readers in the diocese, said: “Ministering to anyone with whom they come into contact, preaching the gospel and spreading the Good News – what could be more important than that? We help others explore the Gospel message, encourage people to make connections between the church and daily living, and share in the Church’s work of caring for people in Christ’s name.”

The Annual Reader Service takes place at Truro Cathedral on October 14 at 11am. All are welcome to attend.
