Open Village Day- Ludgvan

28th May 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

On Sunday 28th May, from 12.00noon to 5.00pm the picturesque village of Ludgvan will open its doors and gardens for the third time to the public, this time in aid of Children’s Hospice South West – Little Harbour and various other small local charities.

The project first materialised back in 2013 with a hugely successful event attended by over 500 people raising £ 2,500 for the chosen charities… this figure was matched in 2015 with another successful day.

This year will be even bigger and better with more local people involved and more activities than ever before. There will be, live music of all sorts throughout the day and all around the village, open studios by local professional artists, over 10 gardens will be open to the public including that of Hogus House, There will be plant sales, exhibitions in the church ,a children’s treasure hunt and various stalls run by local organisations. A highlight this year will be the ‘Yarn Bombing’ of one of the main houses in the village by a group of local knitters.

St. Ives Orchestra will be playing outside the Church

The event will run from 12.00 to 17.00 with plenty of different foods on offer throughout the day including lunches at the White Hart, fresh fish BBQ, chilli dogs, teas, home-made cakes and, of course, ice creams.

As well as the £3.50 admission charge (children free) 20% of all sales on the day will go the chosen charities, Ludgvan is just off the A30 near Crowlas. Look for the purple anemone signs.

Free parking.
