Windows into Anglicanism

7th November 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

£10

‘Windows into Anglicanism’ may, on first viewing as a title, suggest that what is on offer is something in house for those who are ‘Church of England’ through and through. The course however will encompass anything from the history that saw the Church of England come into existence, to the worldwide influence it came to have through the Anglican Communion, dealing on the way with its doctrinal foundations and ending with some of the dilemmas it faces in the world as we find it today. I hope then that it will have some appeal for everyone, for those who claim Anglicanism as their particular expression of the way or those who would simply consider it a cultural icon of our nation and even those who would simply define it as the Church they don’t go to.

The course is newly written and this is its first outing beginning on Monday, November 7th in the Pearson Room of the Cathedral Office and people can take part in any of the three sessions 10am-12noon, 2pm -4pm and 7.30pm-9.30pm by the author Revd Canon Dr David Miller, Vicar of Helston and Wendron and Revd Canon Alan Bashforth – Canon Chancellor of the Cathedral.

The course runs for six weeks and concludes on Monday 12th December and the cost of the course is £10. There is no requirement to pre-register just arrive on the day.
