Flower Festival St. Andrews Church, Stratton

27th May 2016 - 30th May 2016

St. Andrew’s Church, Stratton FLOWER FESTIVAL 2016

Theme: Once Upon a Time … Stories From Childhood.

Flowers, Fairies, Fact, Fiction, Fascination and Fantasy

A Festival that promises to be a delight for the imagination and for the memories – for the young and old alike.

There will be the classical stories which form part of our literary heritage and the modern novel with its futuristic and fantastical features.

The Festival will run over four days from Friday May 27th to Monday May 30th inclusive. Entrance is free and the opening times from 10am to 5pm. each day except Sunday when we open a little later, at noon and everyone is more than welcome to join us for our special service at 6pm.

Refreshments, including morning coffee, light lunches and afternoon cream teas, will be available every day. We try to make sure that everything we offer, as far as possible, is homemade. So, come and enjoy. Who knows, there just might be an invitation to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

The success of the festival depends not only on the floral displays and stalls but also on the generosity of many sponsors and the skill and willingness of lots of flower arrangers.  If, on reading this, you feel the urge to come and help and be part of the festival please contact the co-ordinator Lyzette Bevan. Her telephone number is 01288 359811 and she would love to hear from you.

Deirdre Varley has kindly offered to host a Coffee Morning on Wednesday April 20th to help raise some funds for administration and other expenses.

Most importantly though, we need people to visit the Flower Festival to enjoy all that it has to offer including the glorious church building, its ambience and the welcome and fellowship to be found there. So, tell all your friends and relations about it and get them to come along.

All proceeds are for St. Andrew’s Church and as this is one of our major fundraising activities we hope lots of people will come to visit and give us their support.
