October 1 deadline to pre-register for solar feed-in tariffs
The Government’s Feed-in Tariff scheme is currently being consulted on with a view to very major reductions in Photo Voltaic subsidies. The proposed 87% cut is likely to come into force on the January 1, 2016.
There is currently a short window of opportunity for church buildings planning a PV installation who can pair with, or who already have paired with, a community organisation (e.g Community Benefit Society, Charity Commission registered Charity or Co-Op) to pre-register for Feed in Tariffs (thereby fixing the rate for one year).
This needs to be done before October 1 , 2015.
