This year’s Reader Day will take place on Saturday, May 10 at St Petroc’s Church in Bodmin and we are inviting you to join us.

This year, the Rt Revd David Williams, the new Bishop of Truro, is keen to join in and will be there to meet you all and hear what you have to say. Bishop David has a keen interest in Lay Ministry and was Warden of Readers in Winchester Diocese for ten years.

Refreshments will be available from 9.30am for a prompt start at 10am and the day will run until 3.15pm/3.30pm. Lunch will be provided.

Joining Bishop David on the day will be Archdeacon Kelly Betteridge who will be sharing some more of her expertise in the field of Church Family worship and growth.

With deanery plans now beginning to bed in and fruit, the day will also include varied presentations from parish teams on their interesting and inspirational activities. So, come and be Inspired!

Local Lay Ministers have all received an email already but if you have yet to respond, please do let us know you are coming by emailing readerevents@truro.anglican.org

We are keen to encourage new people to consider Reader/LLM training. Please do ask your parish team and clergy person if there is anyone you could invite along or if you are interested in Reader Ministry, please do speak to your local Reader or clergy.
