Rejoicing in a generous God at November’s synod
The next diocesan synod will take place on November 27 and will have the theme of ‘Rejoicing in a generous God’.
Taking place at St Petroc’s Church in Bodmin, the meeting will start at 9.30am with worship led by the Bodmin Ministry Team.
Following Bishop Philip’s Presidential Address, there will be a number of reports given to members starting with a report from the Diocesan Board of Education (DBE). This will be followed by reports and debate around Rejoicing in the generosity of God, a report on safeguarding in the diocese, a written report on the Bishop’s Diocesan Council and another on General Synod.
Members will meet as the Truro Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd to review the diocesan budget for 2022 which is being put forward for approval.
The November meeting will be the first time members have been able to meet in person since November 2019 although the meeting will be hybrid allowing people to join online if that is their choice.
