Diocesan Roadshows 2020
Join us for this year’s diocesan roadshows taking place during September, October, November and December via Zoom.
Each roadshow will be specific to a pair of deaneries as we look to encourage discussion around life in your individual settings.
This year’s events will also enable us to introduce the new Bishop of St Germans, Hugh Nelson. Hear why he believes God has called him to Cornwall and there will be the opportunity to ask him questions.
Bishop Philip will formally introduce the diocesan vision The Saints’ Way and take questions. You will then be invited in your deanery groups to consider the vision’s priorities and how they may work in your area or are already at work in your area.
In a change to the normal proceedings, this year’s roadshows will also include the swearing in of churchwardens, a service that normally occurs during the Archdeacon’s Visitations in May. With this year’s events affected by Covid-19, the roadshows are not only an opportunity for churchwardens to re-affirm their commitment to mission and ministry, but they also allow more of us to join in with this special event.
The roadshows will start at 7pm. To attend, you need to register. More information is available here.
While you are welcome to attend any of the roadshows, we recommend you select the event for your deanery to allow you to fully participate in the evening’s activities.
