Local charities across the Diocese of Truro will benefit from over £10,000 following the success of the 2019 Christmas Giving Catalogue.

THANK YOU!

The annual booklet, produced by Cornwall Independent Poverty Forum in conjunction with the Diocese of Truro, has seen a steady increase in the level of donations given and organisers are keen to say a ‘Big Thank You!’ to all who donated as this year’s total reaches £10,200.

The 2019 catalogue featured 20 charities from those supplying backpack beds to the YMCA and Dance Express as well as all the Cornish foodbanks.

This year for the first time people could pay online via Paypal and while there were some initial technical difficulties, the ability to donate online will available for the 2020 catalogue.

‘Making a positive difference’

Paul Green, Project Development Officer for Cornwall Independent Forum and catalogue organiser, said: “The donations raised through the Cornish Christmas Giving Catalogue really do make a positive difference to vulnerable people by supporting a range of local projects and organisations that provide help.

“Another important role of the catalogue is it raises awareness of the many issues that disadvantaged people face and the excellent work done by the projects and organisations we feature.”
