Bishop Philip with children from Archbishop Benson School

The Bishop of Truro, the Rt Revd Philip Mounstephen has visited Archbishop Benson C of E Primary School in Truro to celebrate Eucharist with pupils and staff.

During a busy visit, Bishop Philip spent time talking to the children about his role within the church before reading the story of The Lost Sheep. Pupils from Years 2 and 3 also delivered Bible readings about Noah’s Ark and The Good Samaritan.

The service was also an opportunity for the school to launch its new school values – Hope, Respect, Wisdom, Fellowship and Creation. The Bishop presented prizes to pupils whose designs were chosen to represent each of the values, before he commissioned and blessed the school’s team of Year 6 Worship Buddies.
