The weekend of June 29/ 30 will see the annual Petertide Ordinations take place at Truro Cathedral.

This year nine people will be ordained as Priests or Deacons by the Bishop of St Germans, the Rt Revd Dr Chris Goldsmith during two services.

In the Anglican Church Petertide, also known as St Peter’s Tide, is the major one of two traditional periods for the ordination of new priests and is held on the Sunday nearest to St Peter’s Day.

This year the Revd Rachel Monie and the Revd Ian Gulland will be priested and the seven being made Deacon are Graham Adamson, Linda Garthwaite, Tess Lowe, Ben Morgan-Lundie, Alex Sharp, Richard Wallis and Stephen Williams.

The service for Deacons is at 7.30pm on Friday, June 29 and the service for Priests is at 10.30am on Saturday, June 30.
