New Canon Theologian and Canons Installed
Three new Canons and three new Lay Canons have been installed at Truro Cathedral.
The Revd Nigel Marns from the United Benefice of Mounts Bay, The Revd Hilary Samson, Priest of Charge of St Enoder and St Newlyn East and The Revd Jane Vaughan-Wilson, the Diocesan Director of Ordinands, alongside Andrew Keast from St Austell, Robert Perry from Truro and Professor Michelle Brown from Sennen were installed at Solemn Evensong.
Joining them was the new Canon Theologian for the Diocese of Truro, the Revd Professor Mark Chapman who was also installed at the same service.
The Bishop of St Germans, the Rt Revd Chris Goldsmith and the Dean of Truro, the Very Revd Roger Bush welcomed the new Canon Theologian. Revd Professor Mark Chapman, is a Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the History of Modern Theology and Vice-Principal of Ripon College, Cuddesdon.
The Revd Jem Thorold, new Priest in Charge at Newquay and Associate Priest of St Columb Minor and St Colan, will be installed as a Canon on October 14.
