The Royal Cornwall Showground opened its doors for the first time today for the 2016 show and thousands are expected to attend over the three days.

Last night, the annual Eve of Show service took place at the Wadebridge site.

The St Minver Silver Band and Pelynt Male Choir performed before this year’s Show President, Bishop Tim commissioned the Show Chaplains.

Also present was Bishop Mark O’Toole from the Diocese of Plymouth, President of the Methodist Conference Rev Steven Wild and Chair of the Churches Together Tent Committee Rev Roger Greene.

Following the service, pasties and refreshments were served in the Churches Together Tent.
