Churchwardens licensed in Falmouth
All Saints Church in Falmouth was filled to capacity on Tuesday evening as three Deaneries joined together to see their Churchwardens licensed for the coming year.
Churchwardens, clergy and friends from the deaneries of Powder, South Carnmarth and North Carnmarth took part in the service led by Fr Steve Drakeley from All Saints Church, with Archdeacon Bill Stuart-White preaching.
The various churchwardens were then brought to the front by their local vicar and introduced to the Archdeacon before taking their place at the altar where Archdeacon Bill then ‘charged’ them with their duties for the coming year.
During the service there were a number of hymns and All Saints’ choir sang the anthem ‘Teach me O Lord’ by Philip Stopford.
Churchwardens, clergy, friends and family then ended the evening by enjoying a buffet and refreshments.
