Roadshows promise enlightenment and inspiration
This is a time of great change in our churches and the wider communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. There are unprecedented challenges; yet there are also wonderful, practical, innovative things happening too.
There can be no doubt that the Holy Spirit is at work and we all have an opportunity to share in Discovering God’s Kingdom and Growing his Church.
As well as providing inspiration and ideas, the 2014 Autumn Roadshows will reflect the urgency and dynamics of the changes afoot and provide some answers to the following questions:
- What is happening to the Church in our diocese?
- How are parishes working better together?
- How are clergy being deployed more effectively and efficiently in the communities they serve and in partnership with other, different forms of ministry?
- What is the new Deanery approach to finance, MMF and incentives?
- What effects are the 3-Strand projects actually having?
Come and meet the Bishops and Archdeacons and challenge them – that’s one of the reasons why we have the Roadshows. And they do listen.
Most importantly, come with an open mind; and be prepared to share your ideas and to gather fresh ones. In short, what is working for you?
And as far as the logistics go, the 2014 Autumn Roadshows are bigger, offer some new venues, and plenty of parking. The free refreshments are available from 6.30pm and the full programme commences at 7pm.
