The Deaf Church in Cornwall spent its annual outing at Lanhydrock House this year, writes chaplain, Canon Debbie Harvey.

Fifteen members of Deaf Church enjoyed the visit, which was organised by Mrs Christine Fitzsimmons, and we spent several hours sharing close fellowship in the stimulating surroundings. I still can’t understand how I had managed to live in Cornwall for 33 years and never been to this amazing place!

The day was suitably rounded off with a delicious meal at the Victoria Inn at Roche.

‘Isolated Together’ is the theme of a special event – to be held from 10am – 1pm on Saturday 24 November at All Saints Church, Highertown – for people who are hard of hearing.
