The new suffragan Bishop of St Germans, the Rt Revd James Treasure, was welcomed to the diocese on Sunday (May 10) at a service of welcome in Truro Cathedral. The service also provided an opportunity for people to see the new interim Dean of Truro, The Very Revd Ali Hogger Gadsby installed.

Two new honorary canons for the cathedral – Revd Keiren Marwood and Tim Pethybridge – were also welcomed and installed.

During the service, as well as formally occupying his ‘cathedra’ – his official seat – Bishop James preached to those present and Ali lead the prayers in her first service as the interim Dean.
