SUMMARY:Bishop's CMED Day: 'Taking Funerals Seriously'
DESCRIPTION:with Revd Dr Sandra Millar and Mr Tom Pearson \nThe ‘Taking Funerals Seriously’ project is part of the national Church of England’s initiative to make occasional office ministry more effective.  Resources and teaching are based around the results of extensive research conducted with recently bereaved families. \n During the day we will: \n\nlearn more about the research findings and the implications for our ministry\,\ndiscover exciting new resources to help support our ministry to bereaved people (both printed and on-line)\,\nhear how “GraveTalk” is helping to break the taboo around death\, dying and funerals.\n\nClergy are invited to bring a lay person who assists in the church’s funeral ministry.  Refreshments and lunch will be provided therefore it is essential that people book their place (and that of their lay colleague) in the usual manner by using the web link at the bottom of this page or booking form. \nRevd Dr Sandra Millar is Head of Projects and Development for the Archbishops’ Council of the Church of England. \n9.30am Coffee\, 10am Start\, 4.30pm \nClick here to book a place.
