The concert is free but a collection will be taken for the Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust whose founder\, Baroness Caroline Cox\, will also be at the event to describe her work helping refugees and victims of modern slavery in Sudan\, Nigeria\, Myanmar and Syria. \n‘She is a pioneer in the field of modern slavery and has risked her life countless times to rescue women and girls from slavery in Africa (plus her amazing NGO work in Sudan\, South Sudan\, Myanmar and Syria).’

SUMMARY:A Lecture on 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution'
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe sixth and last of the 2015 series of East Window fund raising lectures will be held in Paul Church at 7.30 on Tuesday 13th October. \nEntitled simply RNLI – Royal National Lifeboat Institution\, it will be given by Martin Brockman\, whose father was lost in the Penlee Lifeboat disaster. Martin’s talk will cover the history of the RNLI in and around Mousehole and Newlyn\, and will make reference to the Penlee disaster itself. \nA £5.00 ticket\, available at the door\, includes a glass of wine and nibbles. Following his talk\, Martin will be pleased to answer any questions. This informal post lecture gathering for conversation between audience and speaker has over the summer proved to be a really enjoyable part of the evening’s entertainment. \nThere are more topics of interest\, both local and further afield\, which we will be exploring during next year’s lecture series – so watch/listen to this space! \nClick here for the poster. \n
