Prayers for use during this period

Daily Prayers

Every day we will be sharing a prayer or reflection to hopefully help us through these difficult days. We will be posting them on Facebook but you are welcome to use whatever you need from our resources here.

Prayer is vital. We can still pray together even if we are not physically close. Prayer will change things, sustain us and keep us connected.

Easter Week Reflections

This Holy Week and Easter, we’re delighted to be able to share with you the link to some brand new resources from Perranuthnoe-based artist, priest and poet, the Revd Bridget Macaulay. Some of you may have already had the privilege of sharing in a Quiet Day, retreat or workshop led by Bridget. Others may have participated in her ‘Praying on the Way’ course, available in the ‘Way of Life’ section of the diocesan website.
Bridget invites us all to join her for ten days of reflections on the theme of the cross and resurrection. These reflections run from the Monday of Holy Week through to the Wednesday of Easter Week.

“Each day will explore an aspect or ‘fragment’ of the journey that Jesus and his followers made to the crucifixion and through the cross to the new life of the resurrection. For each of the ten days an image is offered with an accompanying piece of scripture, some questions for reflection and the suggestion of a form or way to pray. Our hope and prayer is that these may be helpful as we make the journey of Holy Week in the strange, bewildering, challenging and ultimately life changing times that we find ourselves in, here in the Spring of 2020 …”
