DESCRIPTION:Join us at St Mary’s Church\, Penzance for a concert of gorgeous music by one of England’s greatest composers – Henry Purcell. \nYou will hear trumpets\, oboes\, recorders\, bassoon\, strings plus 8 professional singers (sopranos\, countertenors\, tenors and basses) in a range of stunning and tuneful arias that plunge the full range of emotions. The works include ‘Come Ye Sons of Art’ and ‘Welcome to All the Pleasures’ as well as a rarity – the ‘Yorkshire Feast Song’ and a concluding Chaconne in which – true to our tradition – the audience will be invited to join in dancing. \nTickets are £10 per person and will be on sale at the door but can also be reserved through Dr Russell Blacker (c.v.r.blacker@btinternet.com). DESCRIPTION:Jonathan is a freelance floral designer of international reputation\, but also an excellent and entertaining speaker. The demonstration will be held at St Uny CofE academy on Saturday 23rd March\, 7:30pm. \nTickets are £10 in advance and £12 on the door (to include a glass of wine!) and the demonstration is in aid of St Uny Church restoration funds. The church needs to raise approximately £200\,000 for a new floor and disabled access and toilets. \n \n  \n
