He writes ‘We do not know whether Professor Martin Luther actually nailed his 95 theses\, (in effect an invitation to an academic seminar)\, to the door of Wittenburg church five hundred years ago in October 1517\, but the effect was to create a moment in history. We shall explore the religious\, cultural and social consequences of Luther’s action\, especially in the context of the Church of England.’ \n

DESCRIPTION:St Endellion present The Galini Piano Trio\, ( Andrew Watkinson – violin\, Shuna Wilson – cello and Caroline Palmer – piano) they will be playing Haydn’s Piano trio in A major\, Shostakovich’s 2nd piano trio in E minor\, and Schubert’s piano trio in B flat in what promises to be a very special concert by these world-class players. The Galini Piano trio was formed 12 years ago and has since played all over the UK and abroad. Andrew has been the first violin of the Endellion Quartet for 37 years. Shuna was the cellist of the Kandinsky Quartet for several years and Caroline is Professor of Piano and Chamber Music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. DESCRIPTION:Ladock Parish will be holding a Christmas tree festival at Ladock Parish Church from the 2nd to the 10th of December\, 10am – 5pm daily. \nThis event welcomes the beginning of Advent and the preparation for Christmas. The theme is ‘Our Group’ and many local organisations\, societies\, sports clubs\, schools\, nurseries\, local markets and Churches will be decorating trees. Also ‘Carols round the trees’ will be held on Sunday the 3rd of December\, commencing at 6pm. \nThere will be refreshments available as well as a programme\, the entry is free. Donations are welcome. \nCome and enjoy the spectacle and the creative art of those participating and relax in the quiet atmosphere of Ladock Parish Church.
