DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to this event thinking through possibilities and approaches for new ways of being and doing church in our changing times… \nJonny Baker has been encouraging and advocating for pioneer mission for more than a decade through the Church Mission Society Pioneer Leadership training course for lay and ordained people in Oxford. He has written a number of books including ‘Imagining Mission’\, ‘The Pioneer Gift’\, and ‘Pioneering Spirituality’ with Cathy Ross\, and is now on tour talking through his latest book ‘Pioneer Practice’ which is a summary of wisdom collected from the contemporary pioneer world in the UK and put together in a readable magazine-style book. He’ll be exploring a couple of the book’s main points – ‘See’ possibility and ‘Build’ something new – in his conversational visual style. \nJonny will be joined by Gavin Mart who sings\, tells stories and produces creative multimedia about pioneering communities he has visited and set up over the years\, encapsulating experiences in song\, poetry and spoken word. \nCome along\, be encouraged\, inspired and challenged to see what God is doing and join in. \nThe afternoon will be a workshop environment with a mix of teaching\, conversation\, music\, and storytelling. The evening will a chance for meeting other pioneers informally over food and conversation with music and poetry.
