DESCRIPTION:A new music setting for the Mass in Cornish has been written by Mike O’Connor. This setting\, named ‘the Mass of the Resurrection’\, is a Mass for the people\, easy to sing\, and based on Cornish folk song tunes. The name signifies both the resurrection of Christ and the resurrection of Cornish.\n\n\n\nIt will be launched in Truro Cathedral on Wednesday\, June 3 at 5.30pm\, in the Eucharist on the Eve of the Feast of St Petroc\, led by the Cathedral Choir. The whole service will be in Cornish.\n\n\n\nThere will also be a practice of the music the evening before (Tuesday\, June 2)\, in St Michael’s Church\, Newquay\, at 7pm\, for anyone who would like to learn it first.\n\nAll are welcome to both events.
