DESCRIPTION:UEA and the Keswick Hall Trust present an online talk on Christian persecution around the world by The Rt Revd Philip Mounstephen\, The Bishop of Truro on March 3.\n\n\n\nThe event\, which is free and open to all\, will run between 7pm and 8.30pm.\n\n\n\nAccording to the latest Open Doors World Watch List (2021) on Religious Persecution\, over 340 million Christians around the world are facing high levels of persecution and discrimination for their faith. In 2018\, Bishop Philip was tasked by the UK Government with investigating the persecution of Christians. His report has been fully accepted and is being implemented by the current government in support of freedom of religion and belief.\n\n\n\nIn this talk\, Bishop Philip will discuss his investigation\, the difficulties faced by believers in practicing their faith\, and the need to unpack the persecution problem.\n\n\n\nThe talk is a key address in the UEA / Keswick Hall Trust lecture series and is introduced by Professor of Faith and Global Politics Lee Marsden. SUMMARY:CHURCHES COUNT ON NATURE PROJECT 2021
DESCRIPTION:Churches Count on Nature runs from Saturday 5th June – Sunday 13th June 2021\, and is all about local people discovering and recording the wonderful plants and wildlife in their local church yard. This is an ecumenical partnership project between A Rocha UK\, the Church of England Environment Programme\, and Caring for Gods Acre. \nParticipating churches will be encouraged to act for wildlife by recording nature in their church yards\, spaces and burial grounds or nearby land. DESCRIPTION:CreationFest invites the faithful and the fringes to experience the reality of who Jesus is\, maybe for the first time or in a new way. \nWhen: From 30th July to 1st August\, Creation Fest Big Weekend will be held in-person at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre in Wadebridge\, England. \nWhere: \n\nIn Cornwall – Smaller and more intimate than previous years to accommodate safety procedures\, this is a free-to-attend\, in-person\, 3-day festival.\nIn Church Hubs – New this year\, Creation Fest will expand its borders by partnering with churches across the UK to provide hubs that will stream festival content for free.\nAnywhere – The festival will also be freely streamed online and on social media so that anyone in the world can experience Creation Fest no matter where they are.\n\nThis year’s music lineup includes: Jake Isaac\, Hillsong London\, Tim Hughes\, Steph MacLeod\, Lucy Grimble\, Wildwood Kin and more. Speakers include: Rick Warren\, Christine Caine\, Jon Tyson\, Gavin and Anne Calver\, Brian Brodersen\, Rachel Hughes\, Mark Sayers\, Sarah Yardley\, Carl Beech\, and Amy-Orr Ewing just to name a few. \nHOPE Together is coming alongside this year’s festival as one of Creation Fest’s partners\, providing resources for churches. \nFurther information can be found on the Creation Fest website
