DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, March 29 there will be a Palm Sunday procession through Wadebridge featuring palm waving and a donkey. \nStarting at the John Betjamin Centre\, where regular Sunday services are held\, the procession will make its way to Egloshayle Parish Church where people will be encouraged to write something they wish to shout to God about on paper palm leaves. These messages will then be shouted out as the procession winds its way through the streets. There will be a short act of worship at the church before those taking part then exchange their palm leaf for a traditional palm cross. \n

This day blends input from Bishop Tim\, John Preston (National Stewardship Officer) and Rebecca Evans and gives the latest good practice on practical and ethical community finance\, preaching and teaching about money and a new programme to support parishes in raising funds. \nJohn has been the Church of England’s National Stewardship Officer since 2005\, but prior to that spent fifteen years marketing everything from sandwiches to soap powder. SUMMARY:CMED Course- Homelessness
DESCRIPTION:with Revd Andrew Yates \nCornwall sadly has a relatively high level of rough sleeping and homelessness. The church has a long tradition of offering support and practical help to those in this need. \nThe morning of this Study Day will involve attending the quarterly Churches Homelessness Network which brings together church projects and other agencies working in the field for support and updates. In the afternoon there will be opportunities to meet with some of the professionals in the field and a chance to ask questions on appropriate responses to be made by us as ministers. \n Andrew is the Diocesan Social Responsibility Officer and Priest in the Penlee Cluster. \nNote: This event is a joint CMED/IME Phase 2 (curates) session. \n9.30am Coffee and Start\, 4pm Finish. \nClick here to book a place.
